Resort Update June 2023

Dear Industry Partners,

If you are thinking, “where did the time go?”, then we are all in the same boat! We still have so

much to do and have so little time.

Here are some updates on new developments, images and refurbishments at the 

timeshare properties:

Remember, if you manage any properties or are a property manager, please continue to share 

your news with your Business Development manager so that we may ensure that both 

iExchange systems are updated, as well as to communicate such to the broader industry.

Umhlanga Cabanas:  The swimming pool at this resort will be under emergency maintenance from 19/06/2023 to 23/06/2023 and will not be available during this time.  The resort apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Sunshine Bay Beach:  Staying with swimming pools, the lining of this pool is going to be 

re-done and it will not be available from now up until 07/07/2023.  Apologies for the in

Kiara Lodge

This resort offers a number of first class on-site facilities.  This will also include an adrenaline 

packed Gorge Swing and a Climbing Wall.  However, the following items have been suspended 

until further notice:  Quad Biking, Archery, Paintball, Abseiling and Guided Hikes. 

Qunu Falls Lodge

Horse Riding will be placed on hold from 31/07/2023 to 12/09/2023.  This is when the horses 

are getting their annual vaccines and will not be available to guests.

Banana Beach on the South Coast and Shaka Shores situated in Durban unfortunately 

will be permanently closed with effect from 26/01/2024.
